One of the perks of living in a cosmopolitan city is the amazing number of great events happening all the time around the city. This week, our spotlight's on the Houston International Jazz Festival, a 3-day event that focuses on providing a unique cultural program that exposes Houstonians to musicians from outside the United States.
The festival begins with a kick-off party at 9pm on Friday, August 2nd just steps from Hotel Derek at Sak's 5th Avenue's 51fifteen Lounge (located inside the fabulous Galleria), and includes Saturday events at the Bayou Music Center and Houston's Wortham Theatre.
